​Biography

Having retired from her teaching job, Hazel moved with her husband Don from Manchester
to Scarborough in 2014 with the intention of staying for two years. They stayed !
Hazel has a strong faith and throughout her life has served the church in a variety of ways,
for example leading home-groups, starting a toddler group and helping in children’s holiday
clubs.

Hazel loves singing, having joined her first choir at the age of 10. She now enjoys
singing with 2 local choirs. 

Since coming to Scarborough she has trained as a Reader and was licensed as a Reader to St Mark’s in September 2019.

Hazel and Don have three grown up children and two young grandchildren
