I'm new to church - what can I expect?

I've never been to church before. What will it be like?
The service will normally last about an hour and we invite you to stay on afterwards for coffee and a chance to meet with others.
We gather in prayer and sung worship; we hear readings from the Bible and a sermon to help us reflect on what God may be saying to us; and in a communion service we are invited to share in bread and wine to remember Jesus.

Do I need to bring anything?
Nope - we have coffee, Bibles (and recommendations for free Bible apps), toys for the little ones and activities for older ones ...just bring yourself!
There is a team at the back of church each week to welcome you and make sure you've got everything you need.

Where can I park?
There is a good car park in front of the hall and just off Green Lane. If you need disabled parking then there are reserved spaces in front of the church though the main gate on Coldyhill Lane. The church building is all on the level and we also have disabled facilities in church.

I want to bring my baby / toddler to church but I'm worried that they'll make too much noise.
We love little ones and the joy that they bring. We also understand the organisation and dedication it takes to get out of the house! That's why at St Mark's we are set up for our smallest of visitors. We have baby changing facilitates, access to a microwave, a good selection of baby toys. There are other families with small children so come as you are and don't worry at all if your little one makes a noise! We'll all be making noise!

Do I have to pay anything?
No.
There is an opportunity on Sunday for people to contribute to the running costs of the parish (like the heating and lighting) but it is completely voluntary.
Come and join us - every Sunday at 10:30am
